Code Application
Interpretation
|
CODE
INTERPRETATION;
Forensic Damage Consultants Certified Restorer
has developed a reputation for its involvement
with code upgrade review. We have been very
successful in our interpretation of the
building codes as they relate “TO THE LOSS”
There are many misinterpretations applied by
architects, engineers, code officials and
contractors. It is a very complex path to
determine what is actually related to the loss
and what is not. |

Vendor Invoice
Review
|
Forensic Damage Consultants Certified Restorer
can
help with vendor invoice review to “keep a
loss real” by negotiating the acceptable
method for invoicing, rates for
classifications, supervisor to labor ratios,
rental equipment rates, sub vendor usage and
mark up, if assigned in the front end of a
loss. We keep a database on rates from many
major vendors that we have reviewed on
previous losses as well as small and medium
size restoration vendors.
If the
loss is new and we are assigned in the
beginning, on site intervention can help
alleviate over billing on the loss. Assigning
us to the loss as soon as possible will help
control these time and material billing
categories. We will visit the site to get a
full assessment of the damage and mitigation
needs. Using our time developed protocols we
can assist the Carrier in keeping the loss
within industry standards with knowledge and
experience from the field. |

Soot Tracing and
Mapping
|
Proven
performance through using decades of
firefighting experience, we have extensive
success in limiting over scoped cleaning
estimates after fire losses. This
process is completed by testing, tracking and
mapping soot travel in the structure.
Our system has been used in large commercial
damage and upscale residential losses.
It reduces unrealistic cleaning estimates to
the actual cost in order to indemnify the
loss. |
