Forensic consulting involves the inspection, photo
documentation, investigation and reporting of
structural and personal property damage. It
involves site visitation
to develop a thorough knowledge of the structure
and the loss in general. This includes measuring
the structure using highly accurate "LEICA" laser tools,
interviewing the property representative on the
history of the structure.
Depending on the type of assignment a thorough
report is written to advise the carrier on the
issues.
Forensic Damage Consultants Certified Restorer
uses state of the art technology and software to
prepare a well-documented file involving all
types of property damage. Depending on the loss
and assignment Forensic Damage Consultants can
prepare restoration period critical path charts
for the restoration process, computerized time
lines of events, CAD floor plans, marked up photo
documentation with comments and indicators,
Xactimate estimates,
On many
occasions,
Forensic Damage Consultants Certified Restorer
is hired to Project Manage a large loss for the
carrier. This entails:
-
Our
daily involvement with the
Insured to determine actual damage due to the
loss.
-
Our advise on
proper restoration as it applies to the loss.
-
Our assistance in
sorting through the loss related costs and
requests by the Insured that may not be related to
the loss. This helps alleviate disputes during
the accounting phase of the loss.
-
Our analysis of
the need, coverage issues and cost are then
discussed in an ongoing dialog with the General
Adjuster on the loss.
Weekly
reports are provided to the carrier of all
conversations, decisions and items that need
attention. A full accounting process is then
applied to all requests for payment of vendors on
the project with formal Invoice Review Forms
explaining the approval or rejection. All quotes
and invoices are tracked and reported to the
carrier in a detailed format.
When
there are disputes between parties, a reversal
method may be used to settle the differences. This
method has been used on many claims
with great success. The method
speeds up the process by applying over 30 years of
construction experience along with over 20 years
of restoration experience to the disputed portion
of the loss.

Our
audience is Insurance Carriers; we do not work for
Public Adjusters, and very rarely work for
property owners directly. We can also assist in
case preparation for Carrier Counsel. We
work for most major commercial carriers. Our
forte is commercial, however we have handled many
hard to settle residential losses over our years
in business.
If you
handle commercial or high end residential we can
assist you on new claims or stubborn claims that
have claim issues. We can sort through the
Public Adjuster's claim on structural
restoration to get to the “Real Loss”. We
strive to report the “Real Loss" no matter what it
may entail. Using many years of
construction, restoration and fire experience we
speak with commanding knowledge.
If you
are in need of excellent structural photo
documentation we use state of the art digital
cameras. And many different methods to photo
document hard to photograph failures and defects.
